So, learning to drive in Seattle has been. . .interesting. In the process of trying to get from point As to point Bs, I’ve mistakenly crossed bridges, almost been hit by a bus, made illegal left turns, cruised by solo-drivers while unknowingly in the HOV lane. . . .all while proudly displaying my California plates and Cal Alumni frame. eep =(
And Aurora/Hwy 99 drives me crazy.
next up: foooood!!!
Sonds like you’re doing CAL proud!
Learning through mistakes is a sure-fire way to get it to stick
Aww Di, I’m sure you’ll be more familiar with the roads soon, just drive very carefully!! You don’t have a fish or dove sticker on your car right? ;-P j/k!!!
miss you lots!
Yeah, Aurora drives me nuts too. Did you drive south and discover that there’s no way to turn around until you get downtown?
Hehe oh the Seattle streets. I’ve crossed numerous bridges unintentionally as well– on foot and on buses. Not fun to get back on track, that’s for sure.
Just always remember to leave your turn signal on. (= Miss ya!
yah I hate aurora toooooo!!!!! Soooo many stop lights and the strangest turns ever!
Hi All,
I’m glad you all enjoyed Hwy 99 ( it’s only called Aurora until you get to Shoreline…from Edmonds up we just call it “99″
As a local I can only explain 99 by saying that I think we put it in as a joke. I never drive it myself…not unless I have an hour to kill and have the time to go and look at all of the lost Souls stuck in the infamous cattle shoot known as 99….
what a cutie.
